"Everything that is new or uncommon raises a pleasure in the imagination, because it fills the soul with an agreeable surprise, gratifies its curiosity, and gives it an idea of which it was not before possessed. "

“Everyone changes themselves a little bit to get someone interested in them”
My Response to this: I’ll be the first to admit I have done this before, pretending to like something when in reality I probably didn’t care for it just because I wanted some guy to like me. But did those relationships last long, Nope give it about three weeks and I was over it. I’ve learned if someone is not going to like you because of the things you like or dislike than whats the point oviously it wont work even if you change yourself because than you are not being true to yourself and that will hinder any relationship.
Wouldnt you want someone who appreciates you for who you are, and accepts your interests and dislikes. Pretending to like/dislike something is kinda of on the verge of being immature. That what makes a relationship, you learn about each other in a friendway, and than if it blossums into more than it does. But if its based on white lies, it will not last long.
